 Worth knowing...
Cracow is a city listed on the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST ; the city is located in Poland's south, on the river Vistula. The Hotel Campanile is in the heart of the Old Town that has retained its XIIIth century urban characteristics with its magnificent historical monuments: the Town Square, the gothic churches, numerous baroque palaces and royal residences along with Wawel, where one can find the tombs of the Polish kings.

Four major routes link Cracow to the rest of the country: the route north leads though Kielce and Radom towards Warsaw; the route south cuts through the Beskid mountain region and takes us up to Podhale and Zakopane in the Tatra mountains; the route west links Cracow to the region of Silesia, and the route east via Wieliczka takes one through to the Bieszczady mountains.
On top of that, the main bus and train stations are downtown ( a 7 minute walk from the hotel), allowing for comfortable access to and from the different regions around Poland.

There is also an airport in Cracow, 15 km from the center, which has flights to and from the major cities in Poland and the rest of the world. In the surrounding area, the following places are of interest to visit:

Wieliczka: 12 km south-east from Cracow's center, the museum in the XIIIth century salt mine.
The Ojcow National Park: 30 km northwards, a natural reserve.
Auschwitz-Birkenau: 50 km westwards, the ex-nazi concentration camp.
Also available are long tranquil excursion in the Polish high mountain regions the Tatras or the beautiful Dunajec gorges in the Pieniny Mountains.
